Our old dehydrator, given to us by a well-meaning neighbor, was a bear to haul around. Toward the end of its life it got noisy and sort of stank as well. Well, naturally this dehydrator is like going from the Flintstones to the Jetsons. It's super-light, draws less power, throws off less heat, and your stuff gets dried. Happiness and jubilations! So far we've only done fruit, but I've had a co-worker's Nesco home-made jerky and it was terrific. I look forward to a lot of drying and such.

I use this for fruit and it's wonderful. I've also made jerky for my kids, which they love. It's great!
